Animation Statement
I create digital artwork and animations. I have always loved cartoons since I was a little kid. I grew up with nickelodeon and cartoon network TV shows and they inspired me to want to make my own TV show one day. My demo reel shows a variety of different characters and scenes to show that I can work on more than one field if I wanted to. My goal is to become a concept artist or animator until I am able to make my own animated series. I Included some commission work of graphics and scenes that I was hired to make by video game live streamers on Twitch.TV. I often create emojis and chat badges (an emoji that is displayed by your screen name in the chat) for them.
Painting Statement
I find bugs interesting to look at up close, and to share my love for them I enjoy creating paintings of insects and arachnids that live in my local area. I chose to paint the bugs on large canvases so that you get to see a lot of detail. I kept the proportions and colors of the insects as closely as I could, but altered the color and complexity of the backgrounds to compliment and draw attention to the insect, without letting the backgrounds become too blank. I chose acrylic paint mostly because it dries faster than oil meaning I could work with it faster. The very first painting of the series was painted with oil paint, the rest are made with acrylic paint.
